Monte Cristo Partners is a private introduction practice. This page explains, plainly, what information we collect through this site, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
The only information this site collects is what you choose to send through the enquiry form: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number if you provide one, country of residence, buying purpose, budget range, timeline, financing preference, anything you write in the message field, and whether your enquiry relates to off-market opportunities.
The site runs no analytics and no tracking. It sets one strictly-necessary cookie only if you open a personal portfolio-access link: it lets the private portfolio recognise you on return, records only the email address the link was issued to, and expires with your access.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, to understand your brief, and — where you ask us to — to make introductions to partner agents and professionals whose work matches it. That is the practice’s only use of your information. We do not operate mailing lists and we do not sell or rent data to anyone.
Legal basis
We process your enquiry on the basis of your consent (you choose to send the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to it and arranging the introductions you request.
Who sees it
Enquiries are delivered directly to Lawrence Thomas via a private notification channel and by email. Your details are shared with a partner agent or professional only in the course of an introduction made for you, and only to the extent the introduction requires.
The site is hosted on Vercel, and form delivery passes through our notification and email providers; each acts as a data processor on our behalf.
How long we keep it
For as long as your enquiry remains live, and for up to twenty-four months after our last contact, unless we are working together or a legal obligation requires longer. You may ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable form. You may also complain to a supervisory authority — in Portugal, the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados).
